My time working as a Digital Media Producer for a local television station has given me a wealth of experience in the world of communication, specifically digital journalism, and branding and social media. In 2008, I launched the station's Twitter and Facebook accounts—the first in the local network group to do so. Since then, a lot of our focus as a company has shifted to user interaction and promoting our brand, resulting in the growth of our community to include over 28,000 fans on Facebook and 15,000 followers on Twitter.
In addition to my strong writing and editing skills, I believe my hard work and creativity make me an asset to any company focused on using new media tools for public relations, social branding and community interaction.
The fast-paced world of local television and digital news is certainly exciting and often forces you to think on your feet, in this regard, I've become very good at multitasking. I quickly learned to adapt to a work environment where I would be tested daily, and was forced to learn new platforms as the website changed. I'm now proficient with various aspects of content building and site design including Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Wordpress.
I've become increasingly interested in broadening my professional horizon toward a company focused on utilizing social media, branding and digital tools in a more challenging and engaging manner. Please visit my linkedin page listed below for a complete resume.
