Donate school supplies, clothes, shoes and other in-kind goods to support orphans in Uganda

If you have a few extra things or used items you no longer need: School supplies, children's clothes, shoes, beddings, school supplies, musical instruments, computer equipment, games and sports equipment, vehicles, Christian literature, ICT Training resources, yes, anything, please consider donating them to Child Support Uganda. Anything that you can give, however small, will help bring hope and dignity to a needy child in Uganda.

To simplify it for those who would like to help collect gift items for the children, we have a list of things that could be collected by an individual, family, group, church, or organization and shipped to our Mailing Address: P.O. Box 28454 Kampala-Uganda. To the attention of Mr. Anthony Onyango Yakobo, Director, Child Support Uganda. All in-kind gifts mailed should be marked "Donations for humanitarian Aid." The list below is not exhaustive but only acts as a guide for those who would like to help. Please feel free to add to the list with whatever else you may have that could be useful. Thank you.

Items that could be donated:

School Supplies: School bags, children's reading books, pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, erasers, glue, writing paper, coloring paper, exercise books, children's Bibles, story books, computer books, CD-ROMs, children's school chairs, flash-cards, ABC distributing (Arts & Crafts), etc.

Clothing: Warm weather clothing of all kinds and sizes for children ranging from 2-17 years: school uniforms, shoes, skirts, blouses, dresses, shirts, shorts, pants, leather shoes, sports shoes, socks and stockings, t-shirts, towels, curtains, etc, and for widows as well.

Beddings: Light blankets, twin bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, soap, lotions, ointments, tooth brush and tooth paste, etc.

Games & Sports Equipment: Soccer balls, volley balls, basket balls, table tennis, netballs, sports shoes, outdoor sports wear, badminton, balloons, First AID Kits, etc.

Office Supplies: Computer Paper (A4 size white and/or coloured), card papers, files, envelops of all sizes, Paper Punk, Guillotines, Binders, empty DVDs, flash discs, Memory sticks, diskettes, computer software, colour printers, LaserJet Printer cartridges, etc.

Computer Equipment: Laptops, Ipads, PowerPoint projectors, desktop computers mobile Phones, diesel generators, overhead projectors, BizHub Printers, Photocopiers, card readers, digital cameras,

Musical Instruments: Acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitars, piano keyboards, sound boards, amplifiers, microphones, microphone stands, loudspeakers, trumpets, saxophones, violin, acoustic/electric drum set, (Band Equipment), etc.

Vehicle: School bus, pickup truck, van, cars (preferably 4 Wheel Drive trucks and Vans). One of the main challenges CSU is facing is lack of vehicle for transportation. It becomes especially challenging when travelling in the countryside with almost no proper roads.. CSU is in need of a reliable 4Wheel Drive Vehicle for safe travel and transportation.

Christian Literature: Bibles, children's Bibles, story books, colouring books, children's club Materials, Christian Music videos and teachings on Videos on DVD/CDs, children's Christmas gift boxes, childcare and children's ministry training materials, etc.

Funding: Financial donations can be made by Check, or bank wire transfer to help meet other needs at CSU run orphanages and other programs in Uganda. Box 28454, Kampala Uganda, to the attention of Mr. Anthony Onyango Yakobo, Director, Child Support Uganda. Please note that there is a customs clearance fee charged on all in-kind donations sent to Uganda. So please consider giving a small financial donation as well to help with customs clearance of the donated items in Uganda. Thank you.
