Black Women's Blueprint is a black women's advocacy group whose purpose is to take action to secure social, political and economic equality in American society now. We fight to end the exploitation and devaluation of Black women and girls in the private and public sphere. We engage in advocacy and organizing including consciousness raising using film, art, theater, social media to spark dialogue, mobilize and call attention to the convergence of race, class, gender and other forms of oppression in Black women's lives where these impact us most—at the disproportionate rates of physical and sexual violence against us, the disproportionate rates HIV infection & AIDS mortality, the rise in the imprisonment of black women, poverty and the exploitation of our bodies in popular culture.
