About Me

My professional goal is to find congruence between my vocation and my purpose in life, which is the basis of my interest in the Idealist.org community. I spent over 12 years growing my career and developing skills in international business development, sales management, project management and business process analysis, design and implementation. I achieved tangible results, including 400% returns on investment, 60% cost reductions and as much as 200% sales growth, on various projects in the manufacturing, oil and gas and financial services sectors. I was not fulfilling my purpose; however, as a result, I developed some key transferable skills that will provide an immediate asset to a growing NGO, international organization or government agency. Some of my strongest skills include relationship-building, cultural awareness, follow-through, foreign language aptitude, planning, coordinating, attention to details and training.

Regarding the congruence between vocation and purpose, I recently concluded a 3-week workshop, completing every exercise in the book, "What Color is Your Parachute?: A Practical Manual for Job-Hunters and Career-Changers". This workshop was a very re-affirming experience for me. My personality profile is an "Idealist Teacher", a "Discoverer Advocate" and someone who is very "Social", "Enterprising" and "Investigative". My purpose is centered on the will, the conscience and the mind. I want there to be more morality, justice, truth and knowledge in the world, because I was here. Since my immersion in the Mexican immigrant community in 1996, I paved a path that exposed me to the social, economic and political challenges and inequities faced by individuals, in over 40 countries around the world. I carried out my purpose through my graduate studies in Human Security and my avocational activities, related to international advocacy, community development, social inclusion and overall cultural awareness throughout the world. I have no doubt that my best long-term career option is to link my purpose and passion directly to my vocation.

I am confident that if a like-minded organization grants me the opportunity to have a face-to-face discussion, they will appreciate my passion and authenticity. More so, I believe that we will find a direct link between the organization's objectives and my strong managerial skills and my innate ability to build bridges of understanding and cooperation between diverse communities.

Kenny imagines a world in which...

there is more morality, justice, truth and knowledge. I want there to be better stewardship of the will and the mind, of what we possess, as individuals and communities, and a broader emphasis on the word "enough," rather than on the word "more".
