In 1996, I founded Growth and Development Services (GDS) utilizing the same model from Viva to now work with inner city teens and families. GDS transforms the lives of teens challenged by social, behavioral, and emotional problems, especially those living in communities where therapeutic services are scarce. GDS provides counseling, case management, educational and after school services. My role as The Director of Therapeutic Services was to provide direct service to our clients and families as well as supervise all clinical services delivered by GDS Social Workers, Psychologist sand interns.
