Hmm... we couldn't find that place in our database.
Are you sure it's correct?
I was hit by a car volunteering with the Peace Corps in Africa last year, and returned to have surgery, recover, and reorganize my life. Recovery was long and slow, and I ended up teaching Special Needs at risk youth in New Orleans, and then Fargo doing a similar contract job... and then, as fate would have it (not that I believe in fate) I married my dream girl, spent the summer guiding Rock Climbing trips with my wife running a ceramics studio. I currently teach English in Northern Taiwan with my wife and live in an apartment just South of Taipei. I am very sarcastic, and can be painfully neutral at times. I'd rather hang out with someone I've never met before than my best friend or my family.
I've learned some of the most valuable life lessons from one on one social interaction with random people. I was originally inspired to travel and explore by Calvin and Hobbs as a kid - as I got older I discovered the Transcendental movement of the 19th century (Thoreau, Emerson, Fuller etc.) which has been a pillar in my consistent drive to relocate and explore. I believe that society needs to be more active and involved in the outdoors and distance ourselves from the building smart phone, GPS culture.
I think everyone should spend a week alone in the wilderness to gain perspective on life.
I'm an open minded, non judgmental vegetarian (I won't eat what I wouldn't kill myself - so I eat eggs and fish), former touring musician (bass player/manager), runner, coffee lover, wine drinking, rock climbing, sea kayaking, outdoor enthusiast.
Two years ago I traveled with my thumb for 9 months all across North America; it seems I get to meet more people that way, rely on the goodwill of others and leave the journey to random happenstance. I'm quite talkative and inquisitive, and love instrumental rock music, Thai food, drinking games, drums, single speed bikes and debating philosophies of life and controversial topics - I haven't owned a TV in 12 years, or a car in 7. I have a great interest in photography and am constantly taking pictures with my Olympus SLR.
I have been a bike mechanic, barista, special needs teacher, wild land firefighter, 2X veteran of Iraqi and a qualified outdoor instructor. I am also a qualified combat lifesaver, dish washer, Physical Training Instructor and Generator Mechanic who has worked odd jobs in near many diverse industries.
I am agnostic, but open to all religous beliefs (except Scientology)
I support adoption, and have backed up my preaching of overpopulation by becoming the youngest childless person in New Zealand to recieve a vasectomy. I have 2 DUI's (which put me in jail for a month) but no other criminal violations that I can recall.
