    About me

Serving inner-city at-risk and high-risk youth and their families in our community is important to me.

Social services is my life vocation though my efforts in finding the right opportunity has been the challenge.

I am presently completing my MA in criminal justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, specializing in juvenile justice and substance abuse, and certifying in dispute resolution. Furthermore, as of June 2012, I have completed my CASAC-T, and intend to complete an undergraduate degree in human services at Bronx Community College starting fall 2013.

To date I have over 12 years case management, youth outreach, counseling, mentoring, and dispute resolution experience. In addition, I provided direct services and intake assessments to evaluate appropriate referral services for substance abuse, domestic violence, homelessness, and youth and family, educational, and ex-convict reentry and related services.

I am hoping to meet good people on idealist.org who share similar social services interests so we can network, learn, and serve our communities in client centered services that will educate, empower, motivate, and heal those in need.

    Henry is dedicated to...

serving our community's most vulnerable--inner-city youth.
