About Me

I am the co-founder of G-lish Foundation in Ghana. I also managed other volunteer organisations in Ghana and worked for Traidcraft, the UK's largest fair trade organization, in Cambodia and Vietnam too.

International Volunteer Abroad Projects in Africa

Volunteer in Africa for Artists and Photographers
There is a common misconception that the skills needed in a volunteer in Africa are purely conflict and aid-worker focused. Fortunately, for those artists and creative types who wish to volunteer abroad, this is wrong. Just as there are a diversity of businesses in the developed world, so are there in the developing world, including...
Volunteer in Africa Program Launch
We are excited to finally launch our international volunteer program. It’s been years in the making, with much behind the scenes work in recent months. You can read all about the program at Volunteer in Africa. You can download our volunteer abroad brochure here. Here is a short excerpt from our main page: G-lish Foundation...

Help Joshua.wmv
Our younger brother, Joshua, became quadriplegic—paralysed from the neck down—after sustaining severe spinal cord injuries when he fell from a tree he was climbing in September. We are raising funds for him at FundRazr: apps.facebook.com Ghana provides no support services for people with quadriplegia; families must cover all costs related to the care and support of the injured person including diapers, creams, powders, food, support aids like pressure cushions, wheelchairs and any special items needed. There are no home nursing options, no counseling, and no guidance on on how to look after a person with spinal injuries. As home care is not an option, unless funded privately, Jo will be permanently hospitalised as long as he lives. His family's medical costs are approximately $200 per month and we hope to raise funds to cover these costs on an ongoing basis, and purchase items like cushions, neck braces and possibly a movable mattress and wheelchair in future.
