Veronica is an accomplished, results-driven executive manager of information technology security for over 15 years with over 30 years of demonstrated success directing business and technology operations to optimize bottom line profitability and productivity.

She has engineered and managed 100's deployments of information technology systems, integrated security access control, fire alarm detection and alarm monitoring systems, closed circuit video, building automation and control systems, and high-end video and audio production and editing systems, and designed 100's of Websites.

(SDCS®) @ www.sdcs.org where Veronica served as the Webmaster for three years.

Veronica had the opportunity to give back to Her local community by teaching a Web Design Class at Steele Canyon High School and Grossmont High Schools, from 1999-2003, through the San Diego East County Regional Occupational Program (ROP). She attended National University and earned a California State Vocational Education Teaching Credential.

Her love for electronics began when she was given a "crystal radio" by of their cousin Edgar Duff, who was an electronics engineer for Westinghouse Electronics. That love quickly ignited a career that has spanned three decades and transcend the following industries; information technology security, consulting, automation & controls, electronics manufacturing, design & engineering, broadcast video, access control - security, video, music, sound reinforcement, recording / producing, construction, and automotive.

Her journey as a CISM has taken her around the world doing security consulting and working for top corporations such as, Microsoft in Redmond Washington, as the Global Security Consulting Manager. From the Oil Sands projects in Canada working with Exxon/Mobile, to Mexico, to cruise missile arming facilities in San Diego, military installations, San Diego Gas &Electric / Sempra Energy and hundreds of major corporations, including world's largest religious broadcasting network, and beyond.

In 2007, she was diagnosed with major depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and started taking psychotropic medications for my mental health conditions She started weekly therapy for deal with the many personal issues she was struggling with. As part of her recovery she had to educate herself to the whole new world of mental health. She became a NAMI Connection facilitator in 2010, and began leading support groups, which in 2011, lead her to getting her certification in the state of Nebraska as a Certified Peer Support & Wellness Specialist, and spent the past two years working as a Crisis Counselor for a mental health agency in Omaha and Started NAMI LGBTIQ Connection.

During that time she listened to hundreds of phone calls and talked face –to-face to others with mental health challenges was able to glean much from their conversations as to the long term effects of medications on our bodies.

As anyone knows who has ever had major surgery, the results from anesthesia or having taking to take medication over a period of years, can be a very mixed bag, multiple side effects, mood changes, and a whole host of other physical ailments can result, affecting your skin, pre-mature aging, hair, teeth, internal organs, weight gain of loss, chronic allergies, and ultimately the quality of life. Couple this with the daily stress of life, toxicity from the environment, food products, and a host of external factors such as, lotions, powers, hair products, toiletries, our make-up products, one can become a toxic mess in search of answers. Bridge Builder Consulting now has programs and services designed to mitigate those negative effects.

She is a Certified Information Security Manager, CISM, a designation awarded by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA®) @www.isaca.org, of which Veronica is a member. Veronica is also a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) @www.issa.org.
