A volunteer opportunity:

I'm looking for volunteer activities involving the arts, children, education, and/or community development. Between July 2013 and June 2014, I'll be available on Saturdays from 10:00am - 4:00pm, and Sundays from 2:00 - 6:00pm.

Updated June 2013 - I recently finished my first year as a head preschool teacher (ages 2-4). In September 2013, I will be a lower school assistant teacher at Brooklyn Friends School. I have my M.S.Ed in General and Bilingual Education, and I'm fluent in English and Spanish.

I grew up and currently live in New York City. I've done summer head teaching and assistant teaching, elementary student teaching (3rd and 5th grades), substitute teaching from grades K-7, conducted college prep workshops, and done some freelance community interpreting. I also have experience with clerk/office assistant positions in hospitals, churches, non-profits, and schools.

I love getting involved in community service, activism, and performing arts.

Other hobbies: spoken word poetry, singing, reading, traveling, dancing, learning languages, tutoring.

Traveling, music, learning about history and various cultures, facilitating access to education.
