I completed my Master of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell) from the Department of Work Environment. I graduated summa cum laude from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health.
My academic focus is environmental and occupational health. Thus far, I have gained my experience through the manufacturing industry, the public health industry, academic institutions, and national and university laboratories. In 2012, I began a position as an Environmental Health and Safety Leader for Advanced Filtration Systems Inc. in Champaign, Illinois. In 2011, I was employed by the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District as a West Nile Virus Surveillance and Vector Control intern. In 2010, I was employed by Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory as an Industrial Hygiene intern.
