I consider myself a political scientist, scholar/activist, & researcher, I worked on state & local political campaigns & research evaluation team to increase voter turnout among low propensity communities in California. I also was a political fundraiser, a political opinion telephone interviewer, & focus group coordinator. I have academic & work experience with qualitative & quantitative research methodologies in gathering, manipulating, and interpreting data. My strengths throughout my professional and academic life are superior interpersonal, writing, and research abilities, and a talent for explaining complex public policy & political ideas in a plainspoken manner that is easy for policy stakeholders to understand. I consider myself charged with a responsibility to bridge the divide that exists between public policy ideas & intentions with their actual effects in communities.I have a research interest in African American political participation & behavior.

Increasing minority political incorporation, participation, & efficacy, the political implications of class, religious, & geographic distinctions within the Black community, & find political & public policy solutions for marginalized people.
