Hmm... we couldn't find that place in our database.
Are you sure it's correct?
I am looking for a career in event planning, marketing, and/or program development that aims to connect people inter-culturally and educate adults and/or youth on culture and/or the visual arts. I am also interested in working in event planning, marketing and/or program development for an organization that supports human rights and social justice.
I have an M.A. in Italian Cultural Studies from NYU in Florence and a B.A. in Journalism and Visual Communications from New York University. I have about 3 years experience in Event Planning, 2.5 years experience in Marketing, and 4 years in Communications.
I have just returned from Florence, Italy where I was pursuing my master's degree in Italian Cultural Studies with NYU in Florence. I am currently living in Brooklyn, NY and finishing my thesis on the sexualization and objectification of women in Italian publicity photography and film.
While finishing my thesis I am also teaching Italian at Fluent City in Brooklyn and teaching private Vinyasa yoga lessons in NYC. While studying in Florence, I worked for NYU in Florence in the Fall as a Peer Advisor where I served as a mentor to and planned educational, cultural and social events for 41 undergraduate students. In the Spring I taught Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa and Yin yoga at a studio in the oltr'arno.
Prior to beginning my master's, I worked as the Global Marketing Coordinator for Donna Karan Collection and DKNY for 2.5 years, and as a freelance writer and stylist for about a year before that. At Donna Karan, I assisted managing the creation and dissemination of all advertising collateral domestically and internationally, planned events, developed relationships with VIP clients, art institutions, non-profits, charities and other organizations for fundraising events and branding partnerships.
I am a hard working, organized, detail oriented individual. I love to be challenged and creatively stimulated. I'm very inspired by art, design, architecture, film, music, dance, yoga, and people of all ages and cultural backgrounds!
