I've spent my life dedicated to service in my community from mentoring to spending 10 months full time completing 2034.75 hours in service through a federal government program called AmeriCorps. Where I received the President's Volunteer Service Award-Gold and the Congressional Award-Bronze.
I am an AmeriCorps Alumni currently serving my 2nd year in AmeriCorps as a Team Leader for a program through a nonprofit called Rebuilding Together where I lead there CapacityCorps program at their national office in Washington D.C.
I'm a passionate person, who's taken time to develop inovative ways to reach out the the communities in need, not only do I come from that particular community but I am inpsired by it to be apart of a movement that uplifts it and many others.
I am planning to attend College in the Fall, majoring in Social Work with a focus in Mental Health & Child Welfare.
