My story

Seeking to combine unique combonation of development, social service, and outdoor apparel industry work towards a position related to natural resources and land management, as I move toward a graduate degree in the field.

Development Experience

Community Health and Development Volunteer: Peace Corps, Nkhungwini, Swaziland: June, 2014 – Present  Utilized Participatory Analysis for Community Action (PACA) and Community Health Assessment Tools (CHAT) tools of surveys, mapping, key informant interviews and seasonal calendars to integrate in community, assess needs and prioritize project designs  Conduct Financial Literacy and Income Generating Project Feasibility workshops to adult and youth groups.  Support teachers with High School English and Computer curriculum, literacy promotion and library development.  Work with host country national counterparts on all projects to ensure sustainability, professional development and capacity building necessary.  Engage one on one with local community members daily in SiSwati to explore relevant local resources when needed and provide accurate health information.
