My Story

Chris Bartels is a musician and producer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Earning a Bachelor's of Science in Music Production at McNally Smith College of Music in 2012, his expertise is music, but he wears many hats in the media industry. Besides writing his own music and releasing albums, composing for film and ads, engineering, mixing, mastering, and producing music, he has experience in video production and editing, design and photography, live sound, marketing, and website development.

Chris launched his own company Anthem Falls Music in the fall of 2012 as a hybrid record label and production house. Rather than separate his own creative projects from his compositional work in film, TV, and advertising, he wanted to develop all his work under this umbrella.

Current projects include:

Bora York - Chris and his wife Rebekah, along with good friends, make up this Minneapolis indie-pop band. All songs from the forthcoming debut album Dreaming Free written and produced by Chris. /

Morning's Gold - Chris' debut indie-folk album under his own name. /

Elskavon - Ambient music. All songs from the forthcoming debut album Movements in Season written and produced by Chris. /

Rebekah Bartels - Along with leading worship with his wife Rebekah, Chris also co-writes, produces, and manages her original music. The debut album is currently in production. / _____
