Volunteer Opportunity description

The Environmental Volunteers has been training people to become educators for over 40 years. Come and learn how you can provide hands-on, interactive, relevant and fun opportunities for engaging students in scientific learning about the natural world.

The Environmental Volunteers will provide you with a comprehensive 6-week training course, and materials, activities, individualized support, and a flexible schedule that will allow you to experience the reward and satisfaction of connecting students with a greater appreciation for our environment. The Environmental Volunteers is a supportive community of people who have come together with the common goal of enriching students lives through fostering inquiry.

Our "Explorations in Ecology" training module takes place on Thursdays from 9AM – 1:30PM in our San Jose Office (Moorpark Ave.) beginning on March 7th – April 18th.

There is a course fee of $75 to cover the cost of the area professionals that will be providing training. Scholarships are available, just ask!
