Design your own volunteer experience with a remarkable group of clients who have developmental disabilities. As an Activity Leader, you have the freedom to lead and plan something fun with a client or group of clients when your schedule allows. Our current Activity Leaders make greeting cards for those in nursing homes, play sports or chat on the phone.
To protect the identities of our residents, a background check is required prior to volunteering with us. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone who:
- Adapts well to change.
- Takes the initiative to plan activities.
- Practices patience while teaching something to someone.
- Has reliable transportation.
- Can volunteer at least three hours a month.
- Can participate in new volunteer orientation on a Saturday morning.
