We are looking for an experienced gardener for the season 2013 starting from the end of February.
We are situated in the Piemonte region, Northern Italy, on a sunny terrace with a generous and spacious park, gardens and gorgeous chestnut trees, area of Lago d'Orta. Centro d'Ompio is an international seminar center, providing the infrastructure and basic services to groups, families and individuals. It is run by an international team.The noticeable energy of nature and the mild climate provide an ideal environment for people who want to open themselves to personal growth.
The work description: we would be happy to accept the applications from people who have experience, passion for gardening, and williness to expand their knowledge of the rich local flora and fauna, for whom gardening means more than just cutting the trees and cleaning the leaves. We need someone who has a personal attachement to this work, with a long- term view on how to maintan and develop the grounds. We support natural equillibrium and careful internvention into the natural biological circles, not using chemicals. We are also developing a permaculture project in which you may participate if you wish. We are very open to new ideas, activities and practices matching our basic values addressed on our webpage. In return we provide full board (rich tasty vegitarian meals) and lodging in a traditional italian countryside house together with other volunteers. Couples are welcome! We have other volunteer opportunities such as the kitchen help, cleaning the rooms, etc.
