SSV is a nonprofit organization with over a 10 year history leading Silicon Valley to a more sustainable future through collaboration with local government agencies, businesses, and community organizations to identify and address these highest-priority environmental issues. We do this by engaging prominent Valley organizations to proactively work toward measurable sustainability initiatives.

Title: HRIS Implementation Analyst
Type: Non- Compensated / Unpaid
Time Commitment: 15 - 20 hrs/week
Commitment Period: 3 - 6 month
Reports to: IT Lead / HR Lead

Job Description:
Sustainable Silicon Valley is seeking a volunteer who can lead HRIS implementation in our organization. This individual will serve as a link between HR and IT teams by analyzing present HR database and needs as well as technical capabilities in order to implement compatible HRIS solution for our organization.

General Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct discovery meetings and system reviews by identifying and understanding SSV current human resources business processes, requirements and future state needs as well as present IT capabilities
Create and manage project plan
Find compatible HRIS solution, configure application, and ensure successful deployment
Lead end to end testing and track product enhancement requests and discovered bugs
Bring in additional consultants and technical resources as necessary
Provide train-the-trainer, administrative, and reporting training
Document business needs, implemented/configured processes, and any unresolved open action-items

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Technical Requirements
Analytical Skills and general programming skills
MySQL or Comparable database
Understanding of operating systems and utilities (Windows,Linux), and web tools (Apache).
Oral and written communication skills
Project management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs
Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
Bachelor degree in business, human resources, computer science, information systems
Experience with significant domain knowledge in HRIS as well as general HR
Experience in HRIS analysis and administration - database design, structure, functions and processes, databases tools - in addition to system conversions or implementations
Experience in software integrations within or for a Human Resource department
