Help the low-income Hispanic community!

Posted on: November 16, 2012

Posted by: Catholic Charities of Oregon

Description

El Programa Hispano in Gresham, a social services program of Catholic Charities serving low-income Hispanic immigrants, offers free basic tax preparation services during tax season and is currently seeking bilingual volunteers to help as trained tax preparers. NO PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE OF TAXES NECESSARY. We provide you with the free training!

Benefits to participating in our program include: providing an invaluable service to low-income individuals and families, learning a useful new skill, practicing your Spanish, meeting other like-minded people and adding a new ability and experience to your resume. Last year our volunteers helped get over $1,000,000 in refunds back to the low-income Hispanic community - we're hoping to expand on this success this coming season and would love for you to be a part of this great service!

A variety of options to help are available. For more information, please email jobs at catholiccharitiesoregon dot org, or call (503) 489-6834.
