Volunteer Opportunity description

JBFCS' Mentoring program is friendship-based and matches children living at our Henry Ittleson Center therapeutic residence. in Riverdale, with caring adults of the same gender on a 1:1 basis. Assignments are carefully made to ensure that the mutual interests of both mentors and mentee are met.

Mentors visit with their mentee a few times a month and create a lasting bond that helps their mentee grow. Mentees are 5 to 13 years-old and receive intensive therapeutic care as well as special education services.
