Mission: Big Apple Greeter's mission is to enhance New York City's worldwide image and enrich the New York experience by connecting visitors with knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers. Our goal is to promote New York City as friendly, inviting, and manageable; to bolster tourism and to foster economic development; and to create opportunities for New Yorkers to show pride in their city and give something back to the city.
Position Summary: Big Apple Greeter is looking for a videographer to take videos during our two annual fundraisers, Greeter for a Day outings, and other special events as needed. We ask that within seven days of the event, he/she will be able to deliver edited video footage taken during the event and post footage on youtube.com.
We require that you provide your own digital video equipment. Volunteers are not required to be professional videographers; however, interested volunteers should be able to demonstrate basic video recording skills suitable to compliment Big Apple Greeter's mission.
Video credits will be given to volunteer videographers. Upon request, a letter of reference may be supplied after successful completion of videography assignments.
