Description

SpanAfrica

SpanAfrica is a registered non‐profit organization supporting African grassroots organizations: local humanitarian organizations working in their own communities. They are an integral key to achieving the Millennium Development Goals through sustainable empowering work.

We provide quality volunteers, practical resources, and self‐enhancing tools and a means for shared learning, communication, and collaboration so that our Grassroots Partners can excel even further in the great work they do.

Strategist Positions

We are recruiting a group of experts to our team. These “Niche Roles” will bring qualified individuals on board, who can support projects, develop resources, share and enhance the wealth of knowledge passed on to Grassroots Partners and volunteers. The team will include a strategist for education, child development, gender, health, environment, life skills and agriculture – relevant areas that are practically valuable to our Grassroots. Each strategist will be engaging in relationships with Grassroots Partners, volunteers, and the SpanAfrica team, collaborating on a variety of projects relevant to their niche.

SpanAfrica is looking for a qualified individual interested in volunteering as our Life Skills Strategist. This position will be responsible for reviewing all Life Skills related project requests from Grassroots Partners, coordinating and guiding all volunteers involved in a Life Skills project, working to enhance and establish relevant Life Skills related materials (including documents, templates, and resources) that Grassroots Partners and volunteers can use.

Successful Candidate Qualifications for Life Skills

For the Life Skills Strategist position, the applicant should have experience in micro finance and adult education. A background in international development, volunteerism, or African work is valued. Work can be done from anywhere in the world, connecting to the team through Internet, and sometimes Skype. This position will engage you for 20 – 30 hours a month, and we request at least a year’s commitment to the role.
