Volunteer Opportunity description

VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION - STORE TO DOOR OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

Purpose

The office administrative support person answers the phones at Store to Door on Shopping/Delivery days weekly and fills in with other administrative duties as needed.

Essential Duties

  • Phone triage – answer all calls, resource solutions to questions and communicate messages as needed
  • Support other administrative tasks and special projects as needed

Skills / Experience Needed

  • Excellent phone skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Positive attitude

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pass criminal background check
  • Sensitivity to special needs populations

Physical Demands

  • Phone work
  • Sitting
  • Standing

Logistics

  • Volunteer needed on site - in the Store to Door office
  • Wednesday and Thursdays – morning's through early afternoon's – ongoing basis
  • Preference for longer-term, ongoing commitment from volunteer
