All around U.S. children in local communities are growing up under insecure circumstances. These children are in danger of being deprived of experiences and support needed to develop as healthy individuals. PYF's mission is to serve Americas youth, especially the inner-city, at-risk children with the tools, inspiration and confidence necessary to make a positive change in their communities and the world. Right now we are looking for inspired and engaged volunteers for our new Volunteer Challenge Program.
PYF's Overview
The Pythian Youth Foundation of California, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Public Nonprofit Corporation, established in 1946 to develop and operate the 19-acre Pythian Youth Camp, which is located in the heart of the majestic Sequoia National Forest. Since its founding in 1946, the Camp has served as a time-out for nearly 300 inner-city children each year, helping them to break the cycles of distress that keeps them focused on unhealthy lifestyles and behaviors.
