Volunteer Opportunity description

Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York is an innovative, nonprofit college prep boarding program, located in Brooklyn, New York, serving high school aged youth from all five boroughs. Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York offers scholars private schooling, residential living, elective activities, and academic/cultural enrichment, while supporting our ultimate goal for our scholars - becoming collegians.

For the upcoming 2012 - 2013 School Year, Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York is looking to recruit a core group of volunteers to serve as tutors to our scholars.

Tutors are the backbone of our academic enrichment program and connect Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York to our community. We are currently looking for math and science tutors. We are flexible with volunteer schedules and can work with you to choose times and days you would be comfortable volunteering at. Most of our tutoring is scheduled to occur in the evenings after 7pm but earlier times and afternoons might be accommodated.
