WMC provides basic medical care, and a sophisticated gateway to specialty services through referrals and partnership with the communities' largest medical institutions.

We are looking for N.P.s to provide patient vistits for WMC Urgent Care Clinic. At each clinic, you will work with a team of volunteers who happily contribute a variety of skills: interpretation, reception, nursing, medical assisting, referrals, data entry, and those who even prepare meals to energize volunteers before evening clinics.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Interview and examine patients

Make treatment plan

Prescribe medication as needed

Work with physicians to dispense medication

Coordinate with clinic coordinator to arrange patient referrals and follow-up as needed.

Document in patients charts

Work within scope of licensure

Qualifications Sought:

Active OR Nurse Practitioner license that is in good standing

Flexibility

Reliability

Good sense of humor

Sensitivity towards people of other cultural and socio-economic groups

Desire to help the uninsured

Volunteer Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 7-10 pm
