A center in Tuticorin for handicapped girls affected by polio in the age group of 14 to 25 years are supported by our organization and 30 girls are now in the center, doing the business of making potato chips and marketing them through retail shops. Some girls work in small concerns like retail mobile recharge shops. The center is in a rented building and the girls go to their work places and for marketing the chips by three wheeled cycles specially designed for the handicapped. Volunteers from abroad help the handicapped girls during their volunteering here. The volunteers can help the girls preparing chips and assist them in the shop in a rented building for selling the chips.
The above work will be from 9 AM to 5.00 PM Monday through Friday and in the weekends, the volunteers can go for their weekend tours to many hill stations and beaches and guidance will be given by us in this regard.
The minimum requirement of stay for the volunteers is 1 month.
Our organisation is a grass root level NGO without any outside financial assistance. We are running the organisation with the contributions from the board of members, as such, we are forced to collect fee from the volunteers for their stay and food and the cost is detailed below.
COST PER VOLUNTEER
360 EURO for 4 weeks
90 EURO for additional week
We provide the following:
Three times home cooked food with packaged drinking water, neat accommodation with western type bath rooms. The cost also includes pickup charges from the TUTICORIN airport. Our volunteers are received by us in the TUTICORIN domestic airport.
Broadband internet browsing facility and phone facility are available on payment basis to the volunteers.
Stay charges from the volunteers are received by us online through wire transfer and the volunteers are requested to send their fee online on getting the official invitation.
Volunteer application form is sent through this e.mail, which may please be filled in and sent to us through e.mail attachment. We don't expect previous experiences from our volunteers. After getting the application, we will send official invitation to you for applying visa.

Our volunteers are arriving in CHENNAI and from there to TUTICORIN , a local airport near our home town.From the Madurai airport the teachers will be received by us.
