Responsibilities
Assist in planning and promotion of specialized social events on a semi-monthly basis
Assist in promotion of company websites and social media
Supports cross-promotional opportunities across NYSOM entities to drive tune-in and awareness of NYSOM initiatives
Supports cross-promotional opportunities across NYSOM divisions to drive awareness or tune-in for our NYSOM partners
Coordinates requests from NYSOM partners
Assist in the coordination of all promotional activities and events
Explore media opportunities/emerging media
Manage one-off/special projects as assigned
Maintain schedule of events for planning purposes
Preferred Qualifications
Strong writing and editing skills
Internet savvy
Extensive knowledge of events and entertainment
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with social media and interacting with bloggers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Candidate should have a healthy appreciation of popular culture and the role of volunteerism in pop culture
Willingness to travel to event locations as needed
Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing business demand
Positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility
