Volunteering on our Healthcare & Nursing project in Ecuador - South America is an unforgettable and rewarding experience. Healthcare professionals and medical students of all kinds or anyone considering a career in healthcare and/or nursing field are welcome to contribute and improve the Country's healthcare. Volunteers from all over the world are needed to provide healthcare service to underserved rural and urban communities in public hospitals and/or medical foundations across this beautiful country.
The general objective of this volunteer project is to provide general medicine, community healthcare, and to promote health education. Our health care and medical volunteer project is unrivalled in Ecuador and is a great way to make a difference and positive impact in the lives of disadvantaged and at-risk people of Ecuador.
If you are a medical student or a healthcare professional, you can contribute directly to your area of interest such as: gynecology, pediatrics, general medicine, emergency, pharmacy, physical therapy, dentistry, surgery, ophthalmology, etc. In addition, health care volunteering may include working outside of hospitals and medical foundations to provide invaluable contributions through health education. Volunteers can teach new mothers about health and nutrition, inform at risk populations about HIV/AIDS and its prevention, or teach First Aid. In short, there is a wide variety of medical departments and tasks within the hospitals and medical foundations where medical students or healthcare professionals can collaborate into the daily routines of these medical centers.
For those who aspire to a career in health-related fields, our medical and healthcare placements offer an exceptional learning opportunity, in addition to a gratifying volunteer experience. If you are a pre-med student, medical student or nurse student, these placements offer an international learning ground where you can not only view healthcare in practice, but healthcare as practiced by professionals in a different country.
Our healthcare and nursing volunteer opportunity is available throughout the whole year, with flexible start dates and program duration.
