Teaming up with a world leading organization, GoEco brings volunteers a fantastic opportunity to work in the heart of Thailand. Many elephants are stuck in abusive situations such as street life or circus shows, this programs works to give these giants a second chance at a natural, more humane life. Working closely with the local tribe of Karen people, volunteers get insight into ancient knowledge on how to care for, bond with, and understand these awesome creatures.

Working with the Karen people, volunteers will witness first-hand the ancient knowledge and connection the community has with the elephants. Each volunteer will be assigned their own elephant, learning specific techniques to interpret animal behavior, assisting in medical health inspections, and so ensuring the further success of the reintroduction program. The hands-on field work allows volunteers to also explore the biodiversity of Thailand, discover the local wildlife such as monkeys, gibbons, deer, flying squirrels and more.
