Job Role:
Mimaana is a fairly new organisation and needs to set an internal accounting policy, budget and financial and fundraising strategy in place. The volunteer who takes this role will work directly with the Founder of Mimaansa. The role will involve understanding Mimaansa's work and reviewing of the current system and preparing an accounting policy, budget and financial strategy accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Working in collaboration with Mimaansa's Founder to outline the organisation's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, earnings and forecast finances
- Understanding the financial components of Mimaansa's program
- Formulating an internal accounting policy
- Preparing a budget for Mimaansa
- Facilitating implementation of internal accounting systems
- Plan a fundraising strategy by looking at various fundraising sources and analyzing the one that could be apt for Mimaansa
Specific Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in working on a Financial planning project
- Training in/ experience in financial management particularly budgeting and cash flow for casting
- Experience in preparing budgets
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
