Young Professionals Committee Events Leads (Multiple Openings):
Summary: Several of our Young Professionals committees are looking for experienced and enthusiastic volunteers to serve as Membership & Communications Leads. Membership & Communications Leads will assist committee leadership with membership communications, outreach, and event promotion. Our Young Professionals committees host several events per year and the majority of tasks for this position will be related to event communications and promotion. There are current openings on our Africa, Asia-Pacific, Human Rights, International Economic Development, Middle East, Peace & Security, and Women & Gender committees. This is a volunteer position.
Duties of YP Membership & Communications Leads:
- Maintain regular contact with YP leaders and attend monthly committee leadership meetings
- Regularly check the committee email address and contact interested members regarding committee activities and events
- Promote upcoming committee events (event descriptions, social media, press releases, etc.)
- Attend traning on membership and communications procedures
- Average commitment of no more than 5 hours per week
Position Requirements:
- Interest in international issues and the United Nations
- Membership in UNA-NCA
- This position is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as other Young Professionals
- Excellent communication skills and familiarity with social media are a must. Previous experience is not required and those who would like to gain skills in membership and communications are encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to attend regular meetings in Washington, DC
