Position Description
I Am We seeks a Funding Developer to serve on our executive board to help support our work as an organization promoting and creating community engagement in underserved communities through the medium of art, inspiration, outreach, programming, education and advocacy. This is a chance to be part of the formation and foundation of a very important cause that will inspire all to invest in the well being and safety of their neighborhoods. Our vision is to be a key contributor in making chicago one of the most vital and safest cities in the country, starting one community at a time.
Skills Required
The desired candidate must have succesful grant writing and fundraising experience, be a team player, attention to detail, and preferred board experience. We are an active, working board; participation and attendance at meetings are crucial.
Time Commitment: Varies
Term Commitment: 1-2 years
Financial Commitment: Yes
Meeting Schedule: We meet once a month.
Additional Information
Our attorney will be performing a background check on serious applicants. We need someone with a grantwriting/fundraising background, experience with nonprofits, patience. A sense of humor not required but preferred.
