Adult reading tutor

Posted on: December 7, 2012

Description

Do you love reading? Do you have a couple of hours a week to help a small group of adult students improve their literacy skills? Asian Human Services is looking for volunteers to provide direct reading instruction to our literacy students. We are a well regarded program in Chicago's West Ridge neighborhood (near Peterson and California), and we work closely with our volunteers to give them guidance and make sure they have all the training they need. We welcome volunteers who are new to tutoring, and we will offer you plenty of support as you begin to tutor with small groups of our friendly, appreciative students.

Our reading classes meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30am-1:00pm. This is a great opportunity to make a difference and be inspired by our students and their incredible stories.
