Mentors are vital to this company and serve as advisors, educators, role models and leaders giving back to individuals in the community, and contributing knowledge and skills through the sharing of their personal experiences with others.
Our mentors are champions of Leading Ladies of Legacy Inc's mission, building strong and stable mentoring relationships through trusting, respectful, honest and genuine relationships. These relationships are created to support the personal and professional growth and development of girls and young women and assisting them to achieve their goals.
We are currently looking for volunteers for our SOAR Young Women's Leadership Academy which will be held every third Saturday starting January 2013.
Soar Young Women's Leadership Academy is an academic enrichment and leadership program serving high school females who seek to gain leadership skills. SYWLA serves young adults ages 14-18 in Cobb, Fulton, and Dekalb Counties. A completed application and parental consent waiver is required for program participation. SYWLA students will take part in a variety of activities, workshops, and events that emphasize growth in the following areas:
-Leadership -Internships and Scholarships
-College Preparation -Goal Setting and Attainment
-Professional Development & Entrepreneurship
