volunteer opportunities
Riverzedge Arts and friends are proud to present the first annual Riverfest, a celebration of life and bicycles on the Blackstone River. Join us on Saturday, July 20 at River Island Park (at the intersection of Bernon Street and South Main Street) in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. We'll have live music from Atlantic Thrills, Extraordinary Rendition Band, The Mighty Good Boys, and other local acts; a chalk art contest; morning bicycle rides beginning in Providence and Uxbridge, MA; local food trucks; environmental art, educational workshops and information, and many more opportunities to explore deep love and gratitude for the River.
We're looking for 15 to 20 volunteers to help with…
Vendor Setup | Help vendors set up tents, tables, merchandise, and information
Band Runners | Run errands for the four bands, and help set up, and take down equipment
Children's Play and Craft Area | Help kids with environmentally-themed crafts and games
Bike Parade | Provide water and first aid to bicyclists in parades from Providence and Uxbridge
Workshops | Count attendees and assist with environmental and sustainability workshops
Parking | Direct traffic at several parking lots near River Island Park
Chalk Art Contest | Help chalk art contestants complete their pieces and run errands
Signage | Prior to event (date, time and location TBD). Help design and put up signage for Riverfest in Providence and Woonsocket.
