Volunteer Opportunity description

Once each week, a team of 3 volunteers meets at Second Harvest Food Bank to procure groceries to stock our pantry shelves. The time commitment is less than 2 hours start to finish and the teams rotate each week. Training is provided and the service is vital to our ability to serve our pantry clients.

Volunteer teams have 25 minutes to collect as much as they can from what's available at the bank. The items are then loaded into the volunteers' vehicles and transported to our office on S Church St where staff is waiting to shower you with gratitude, unload the items and bring them in to our pantry. If you have a strong back and a reliable vehicle, consider spending one or two Friday mornings with us each month. Thank you!
