Volunteer Opportunity description

Only 7 out of 10 youth in our area graduate from high school, and only 1 in 4 is college-ready. By volunteering to tutor, you will be able to help students do better in schools, improve their self-esteem, and serve as a positive role model.

High school tutors focus on more challenging subjects such as upper level math, science and English. Tutors serve during our daily high school study hall. Each week they will be directed towards students who need help with their subject area of expertise. They will work with students in small groups or one-on-one. Tutoring is a great way to have fun, help kids to improve in their academics, and develop new skills.
