Do you want to develop your cross-cultural and professional skills?

Do you want to meet people from all over the world and expand your networks?

Do you want to help new immigrants who are unemployed and underemployed get back into their professional fields in the USA?

Upwardly Global (www.upwardlyglobal.org) is seeking volunteers for our upcoming "Rebuilding your Professional Career in the US Workshop"for immigrant and refugee professionals in East Bay on Saturday, July 13th. Upwardly Global is a non-profit organization that helps legal, college-educated immigrant and refugee professionals from over a 100 developing countries rebuild their careers here in the US.

Mock Interview and Networking Workshop Details

Date: Saturday, July 13th, 2013

Time: 11:00AM to 4:30PM (Lunch will be provided)

Location: Ed Roberts Campus, 3075 Adeline St #160, Berkeley, CA 94703

This workshop is a chance for immigrant professionals to work with volunteers on their interviewing and networking skills. The Mock Interview Workshop includes a brief volunteer orientation and two practice interview sessions where jobseekers are matched with volunteers. Volunteers are provided with a sample list of interview questions, and a resume and job description of a job the jobseeker is interested in applying for. Volunteers provide valuable feedback to jobseekers upon the completion of the mock interview. After the mock interview workshop, there will be an hour of networking, where volunteers and jobseekers get a chance to meet each other.
