Volunteers needed to deliver a hot meal, flowers, and goody bag on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Spend a little time with 2-3 elderly people on a holiday who may otherwise have no visitors or social contact. Many have little or no family involvement. The elderly visited may be living in their own home or apartment or may be in a nursing home. Help us ensure that our elderly friends are remembered on each of these 3 major holidays.
We also need volunteers throughout the year to visit an elderly person on their birthday delivering a personalized homemade birthday cake and other goodies. Volunteers receive a quarterly list of dates and neighborhoods where deliveries are needed. Sign up for any deliveries that are convenient for you. Delight an elderly person by remembering them on their birthday.
