Spanish-speaking Career Coach

POSITION SUMMARY: The Spanish-Speaking Career Coach Volunteer works within the Career Development department, providing support in resume writing, interviewing skills, and job seeking to core program participants and community job seekers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Program Contribution

  • Assists participants and community job seekers with job placement help and tactics; including resume writing, interviewing skills, applications, job seeking and job placement (individually scheduled appointments)
  • Keeps Career Development team apprised of program progress and challenges
  • Keeps abreast of industry jobs, availability, trends, and employers
  • Completes additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree (4-year degree preferred)

Experience: Must have a minimum of two years professional experience, must be able to work independently

Skills: Proficiency using word processing, database, and spreadsheet software. Resume writing knowledge, interviewing, cover letter writing. Excellent communication and customer service oriented.
