How well does a 'GARDEN GROW'...depends on the hands that manage it. We are starting a Community Garden in Holden Heights to create a sustainable food source of fresh foods for the homeless & impoverished communities we serve.
We are seeking a Community Garden Manager(s) that will oversee the garden projects, and volunteer gardeners; and also help communicate program policies to gardeners, encourage community participation, and mange the activities of the garden as an attractive, productive community asset.
Volunteer Garden Managers are encouraged to commit to one full garden season and will need the to allot a little time to check in on the garden a couple of time each month to enusre that the area is maintained or watered. Each Fall after our initial start planting Sept. 22,2013 you will have the option of continuing on to the following year or assisting in recruiting a replacement.
