Volunteer Opportunity description

The Human Services Council is seeking volunteers for its Community Prevention Task Force (CPTF). CPTF is the designated local prevention council for Norwalk, CT. The task force's goal is to increase public awareness of alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse (ATOD) prevention and stimulate the development and implementation of local prevention activities primarily focused on youth.

All interested individuals should possess the following qualities:

- be willing and able to commit at least 10 hours per month to activities related to CPTF
- be energetic and excited about the prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse

- be creative and able to "think outside the box"

- be sociable and able to build relationships for the purposes of increasing CPTF's visibility and scope
