About Us: HealthRIGHT 360 has been providing medical and behavioral health services to San Francisco's neediest folks for over 40 years. Our department, The Resource Center, is located at 15th and Mission streets. We provide housing, employment and education services to clients who need some support as they try to change their lives. Our team is a group of hard-working do-gooders who take a partnership-approach to working with clients and always maintain a sense of humor.
We're committed to providing you with a high quality experience that will add some strong components to your resume. We'll be sure to train you in the beginning and offer lots of coaching and support along the way.
Description: Do you have office experience? Want to do something positive and productive with your time while helping to make a difference in people's lives? We would greatly appreciate your help around our office! It's a fun place to be. We're looking for someone who can help us out with things like:
- Filing paperwork
- Making copies for workshops and trainings
- Compiling welcome packets for new clients
- Scanning documents
- Data entry
- Other tasks may be possible according to your interests, experience and skills
Requirements: IF YOU POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES, YOU'D PROBABLY FIT IN REALLY WELL:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills
- Ability to role model professional behavior to clients and maintain professional boundaries
- Ability to use computers and other office equipment and tools. It would be great if you could type at least 25 words per minute.
- Prior experience working in a professional office environment is a big plus
Commitment: At least 3 hours per week for 3-4 months.
Hours: Tuesdays 9am-12pm, Wednesdays 1pm-4pm, Thursdays 9am-12pm, Friday 9am-12pm
HOW WILL WE PREPARE YOU? You will be provided with a volunteer orientation. When a new task is delegated to you, we will provide thorough instruction, example, and support prior to performing the task on your own. In addition, as a valuable asset to our team, we're always available to you if you have questions or concerns. We appreciate our volunteers and interns, and want to make sure they have everything they need while they're with us.
