The UKYCC - UK Youth Climate Coalition - is run entirely by a team of highly motivated young volunteers, all of which are between the ages of 18 - 29, working together between other commitments to create a future which is happy, affordable, clean and safe.

The UK programmes team runs national campaigns on climate change in the UK, holding politicians to account and pushing for the policymakers to implement more sustainable policies.

In 2015 we launched Fight For Our Future – a campaign asking politicians to give young people something to vote for, and demanding MPs respond to the dangers of climate change.

Now we're in the midst of launching two key campaigns. One will develop our response to the host of government changes to energy policy and other climate policy areas which have come in over the past year and push to make sure the government is providing a sustainable energy strategy which will provide for young people's future.

The other will look into the role that education is currently playing in shaping young people's attitude to climate change, and put the spotlight on important information which is being missed out from curriculums in the UK. It is essential that young people today are being properly informed on the science, ethics and different proposals for dealing with climate change, with sustainability embedded across the curriculum.

We're recruiting for a number of new roles in the UK team to help push these exciting campaigns forward. Each will have some specific tasks for a campaign, but you will also have the opportunity to get involved with other UKYCC campaigns, in the UK team and in the International and Community teams.

None of the roles need any previous campaigning experience or prior training – we're looking for enthusiasm above all and UKYCC can provide any training that's needed.

Please be aware that these are voluntary and unpaid positions.
