Voluntary Work in Schools, Teaching Computer Skills
Our IT project in Ghana is based in the cities. P.Y.V.O-Ghana is offering the opportunity for volunteers to help the local community in a very practical way. The communities need IT teachers.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE

Giving the teachers in the communities a good tuition on how to use computers.
Volunteers teaching a variety of practical computer skills ranging from how to turn a computer on and off, to explaining the applications of software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and demonstrating how to use the Internet for research and communication purposes.
Helping students during activities, as well as improvising learning materials, worksheets and a student database system.

Other activities include Orphanage Work, HIV aids education/ Presentation, Teaching, HealthCare project, Conservation, community construction project etc.

After one week of community volunteer work, Participants begin a week tour to some of Ghana's top tourist attraction centres across Ghana.
