Do have knowledge in fitness, dance or nutrition? Do you enjoy working with senior citizens? Then please join us on Tuesday May 7th at 6:30pm to learn more about teaching these classes.
Our fitness/dance classes help our seniors stay active. The classes will also help seniors work on balance to help prevent falls, strength to combat muscle loss, and other similar fitness issues that are especially important for seniors. These classes also provide a wonderful way for our clients to socalize with their neighbors.
Met Council's Nutrition workshop is designed to help clients set and achieve their health goals with guidance from volunteer nutritionists. Workshops focus on all general aspects of living a healthy lifestyle by supplying actionable nutritional knowledge. Volunteers are needed to prepare and present nutrition workshops that will be offered to Met Council's senior clients.
Different skill levels are needed for different programs.
Some programs only need the knowledge of a Nintendo Wii.
