Volunteer Opportunity description

Get up! Stand up! Stand up for your rights!

Be an ACLU-MD Volunteer and help defend our rights to think and speak as we choose and live without discrimination and unwarranted government intrusion.

The ACLU of Maryland is looking for volunteers to work in our Baltimore office and to assist our Fair Housing Project. The ACLU's Fair Housing staff works to provide housing choice throughout the region to low income residents of Baltimore's poorest neighborhoods.

The Fair Housing Survey volunteer will process surveys related to implementation of a housing mobility program, which entails summarizing and recording documents related to the Thompson v HUD case. Information on this case can be found on our website, http://www.aclu-md.org/top-issues/Fair_housing.html

The proper candidate will have excellent computer, research, and writing skills. Prefer, but not required, a candidate with experience using MAC and/or Concordance.

We have an interest in a long-term volunteer, at least 3 months. Our scheduling policy is flexible and negotiable.
